Zelda Timeline: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

  • Finished The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time last month. This (on Nintendo 64) was my first real Zelda game. I had played the original on NES but I was pretty young and my brother/cousins were playing it. The 3D remake is fantastic and brought back good memories. I picked up this 3D remake while my son was in the hospital for two weeks in 2011. This game really helped take the stress and worry away. I played it up to about the Spirit Temple when I let a coworker borrow it. After he was done another wanted to borrow it and he had it up until the time he sold his 3DS. I didnt ply it for awhile and then a friend wanted to borrow it and he took it with him on a business trip. During this trip sadly his 3DS and my game was stolen. I wasn't aware of this until one day he told me. He was worried I would be upset since my save file on the game was when my son was in the hospital. I told him I wish I still had the game but I was more sad that his 3DS got stolen. It took awhile but he replaced it with what I hope was a modestly priced used copy. This of course was right before the game was bumped to the Nintendo Selects at $19.99. After I finished Four Swords I was ready to restart OoT. The game was as fun as every though I think my memory of twilight princess was confusing me of what to do next. This game was more straight forward and I did not have to reference a guide nearly as much as I did for Minish Cap or Four Swords. The only part I needed help with that I can recall was the shadow/spirit temple getting started with the lens of truth. Even though I beat the game on Nintendo 64 I remembered next to nothing about these dungeons. The water temple was much easier thanks to the remake even though I beat it original before having the internet to use a guide. The final fight with Ganondorf was much easier than I remember it being. It was much easier than the final fight at the end of Skyward Sword. I used to say that OoT was my favorite but as I am finding out during my Zelda timeline play through this is not the case anymore. For the moment Skyward Sword is taking that spot. This game will always hold a special place in my gaming memories as it was my first real Zelda game and my first 3D RPG. Got any questions or have something you want to add? Please comment below.

  •  Total play time (includes my first copy of the game that was stolen) was 52:46.

  •  Times played 18.

  •  Average Play Time 2:55.

  •  First played 6/25/2011.

  •  Last played 7/4/2016.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords

Realized today that I never posted my play of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. Finished this up on lunch break at work. Had a good time playing this little game. It is local multiplayer game. You play one of four Links. It is  competitive and cooperative.  Looking forward to playing it multiplayer some time in the future. Fun little puzzles in here. This one paved the way for Ocarina of Time on my timeline play through. #LoZ #zelda #link  #loztimeline #3ds #nintendo #dsiware

Skyward Sword

Took a break from Starfox Adventures to start my Legend of Zelda timeline play though. Got excited to play through as many in order as I could and wanted an excuse to go back and finish Skyward Sword. I soon realized that since it had been so long since I played I would have to start over. I am much further than I was the first time I played at the time of release.

First game of my play through The Legend of Zelda timeline has got to be getting close to the end now. Really enjoyed my second try at the game. This time I got much further. This may be taking over my favorite Zelda game spot but we will see. First piece of the #triforce has been collected. #LoZ #zelda #link #wii #backlog #nintendo #skyloft #mastersword #groose #hero #legend #videogame

Starfox Adventures day 1

I started Starfox Adventures tonight after a couple of days trying to track down my component cables (failed to locate them) and my gamecube memory card. I was surprised that it took about 30 minutes before you saw or played as Fox. Krystal seems likes an interesting character but I was honestly confused with the language. I thought the game must not be sat to English. I am guessing it must be the native language of the Dinosaurs. I do find it funny that General Scale was in English. I also had a huge problem navagating the ship due to it being so dark. A quick brightness adjustment and i was good to go. I completed the first trial and the plot was put in motion. With that Fox McCloud burst onto the scence. I havent played Starfox since the Nintendo 64. He is reminding me of Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy's Starlord. He seems to be only out for himself and only become interested when General Pepper said that his fee was approved and once he completes the mission the money is his instantly. Throughout my play session tonight I heard a lot of sarcasim that I was not expecting. He starts off on a classic space flying level full of astoroids, mines, and enemy ships. After flying through a gold ring you are able to proceed to the planet. General Pepper forces yoy to use your head and forbids you to not take your blaster on the planet. This reminded me of the main gripe people had with Metroid Other M. Once I started wondering around talking to the dinos I really started liking the game. I am really getting the feel of a Zelda game with hidden caves, puzzles, and exploration. I discovered the weapon, Krystal dropped it after being shot at by General Scale, and went through the quest to see if i was worry of it to power it up. I kinda got lost a couple times and ended up getting to an area that I need 60 scarabs, the in game currancy, to progress. I am hoping that the wallet is not available yet because I made several trips through the store looking for a wallet. I was buying bomb seeds over and over until I discovered a bomb plant near the Arwing. After that and getting hints from slippy I figured out that i needed to stop looking for where i needed to go next and ise the flame power on the staff to open the room behind where my first combat test was at to talk to the queen. She sent me off on a quest to talk to the Warpstone so I could save the Prince Tricky. It was getting late on me so my next play session I will have to find something in the store to buy to give to the Warpstone so I can go save the Prince. Good night everyone.
